Cooking For Bae: Wild Rice

Making a three-course meal is a skill every man should master in the kitchen. Wild rice is a quick, easy side that can definitely become a staple for your meals. Today’s post features Uncle Ben’s Long Grain & Wild Rice, Original Recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 or 2 Boxes of Uncle Ben’s Long Grain & Wild Rice, Original Recipe

 

Cooking on Stove Top

(Takes about 25 minutes to cook.)

  1. Combine rice, contents of seasoning packet, 2¼ cups water and 1 Tbsp. butter or olive oil (optional) into a medium saucepan. Stir well.
  2. Bring contents to a boil, REDUCE HEAT (low to medium-low) and simmer covered 25 minutes or until water is absorbed.

To Prepare 2 Boxes: Use 4¼ cups water and 2 Tbsp. butter or olive oil (optional) and follow steps 1 and 2 of the stove top cooking directions.
